 Autumn is over the long leaves that love us,
 And over the mice in the barley sheaves,
 Yellow the leaves of the rowan above us,
 And yellow the wet wild –straw berry.

秋天在爱我们的长叶子上，

 大麦捆扎堆里的老鼠身上，
 抬头望见染黄了花揪树叶，
 还见染黄了野草莓的湿叶。

 The hour of the waning of love has beset us,
 And weary and worn are our sad souls now,
 Let us part, ere the season of passion forget us,
 With a kiss and a tear on thy drooping brow.

 爱情枯槁之时令我们苦闷，
 悲伤的灵魂已是疲惫不堪，
 趁爱情的季节将我们遗忘之前，
 分手吧，吻和泪留在你低垂的眉宇间。

 威廉•巴特勒•叶芝（1865-1939）被广泛认为是英国最伟大的诗人之一，获得了1923年的诺贝尔文学奖。 他的著作受到爱尔兰文化和政治的极大影响。

 原诗抑扬格为主，原诗两节，共分为八行。第一节每行5音步，第二节除第三句是6音步，其余每行是5音步。原诗韵式为 abab abab.
